Snowcatcher > I could not believe my ears when, while strolling along the South Platte, I heard the distinctive call of sandhills!!!  I've always wondered if sometimes they might take a different than normal migration path.  (They typically head from Bosque del Apache in New Mexico to Wyoming and Montana via the Rio Grande valley in Colorado and then veering northwest over Gunnison and Meeker.)  This morning answered my question as two flocks made their way south directly overhead the day after our most recent snowfall.
