Snowcatcher > All of my quilts have stories, and this one is no exception. I began this quilt with the center piece as a birthday present for my then-boyfriend's next birthday, but emergency back surgery a few months later kept me from working on the quilt for more than a year. By the time I was able to lean over my machine again, The Lizard was no longer my boyfriend but my husband! And he no longer needed a twin-sized quilt... I scrambled with all kinds of ideas until I came up with a somewhat haphazard way to make it big enough because the rainbow fabric was no longer available, and I didn't have enough left over to do what would have looked best. So this design is what I came up with; all totally original, all lizard-cutting, final quilting and binding totally by hand.
